Not the big, fireworks, once-a-year kind of joy…
However the everyday, quiet, life-enhancing joy that lives in small moments.
Because here’s something I know for sure….
Joy isn’t something we earn later … it’s something we choose daily.
Why Joy Matters More Than We Think
Joy isn’t frivolous. It’s not selfish. And it’s definitely not optional.
What I have come to learn over the years is that joy supports our mental wellbeing, our physical health and even our longevity. (Yay for living a long life right!) When we experience joy, our nervous system relaxes, our stress levels drop and our bodies shift into a state of healing.
And yet… so many of us put joy on hold.

“I’ll feel joy when things slow down.”

“I’ll feel joy when I’ve done more.”

“I’ll feel joy when everything is sorted.”
However life isn’t lived in the when.
It’s lived now.
